Career and Study Advisor in Norrköping
Do you want to help people find the right education and career path? Are you motivated by meeting people and making a difference with your skills? As a career and study advisor in Norrköping, you can contribute to the workforce of the future!
Who are we?
The Competence Supply Office works to create conditions and opportunities for people. Regardless of the activity, we have a common mission to offer citizens the opportunity to grow and develop, with the path to self-sufficiency being as short as possible.
We at the Guidance Center belong to the adult education sector, where we strive to develop and contribute to career and study guidance within all teaching at adult education and to our citizens.
Here you can make a difference by helping more residents of Norrköping find the right path to education, work, and self-sufficiency, while also playing an important role in reducing the skills shortage in our municipality.
At the Guidance Center, we are an engaged and competent team of about 14 career and study advisors. We are proud to have received the highest rating in the Swedish Schools Inspectorate's quality review of career and study guidance within municipal adult education!
Our office is located in central Norrköping at Hospitalsgatan 20, close to everything.
We are now looking for a temporary career and study advisor for a parental leave replacement!
Your responsibilities
As a career and study advisor with us at the Guidance Center, you step into a rewarding and challenging role, where you have the opportunity to guide and motivate individuals towards education.
You meet our adult students in various life situations, offering guidance and advice both in personal conversations and through digital meetings, phone calls, lectures, networking, or outreach efforts. Your primary placement is at the Guidance Center where you mostly meet citizens in physical meetings.
With us, you will play an important role in discovering interests and the full potential of the people you meet. You adapt your guidance strategies to the individual's needs and goals and actively work with follow-up of the individuals you meet to ensure good service and success.
Every week, you meet with all career and study advisor colleagues along with our admissions officers to exchange information, drive development, have collegial discussions, and create a comprehensive picture of Komvux Norrköping.
We offer you a tailored introduction and the opportunity to develop alongside knowledgeable colleagues who are happy to share their experiences.
Who are you?
We see that you are a qualified career and study advisor and view positively if you have experience in adult education/high school studies or vocational training.
You are self-driven and attentive. You are an engaged team player who sees each individual and their needs.
You meet people with respect, empathy, and professionalism. You have the ability to build trust, communicate clearly, and create meaningful conversations, even when the path forward may feel uncertain for those you meet.
To succeed in the role of career and study advisor, you always strive to provide good service to everyone, creating positive meetings and relationships with great commitment.
You are skilled at motivating and engaging the individuals you meet, proactively driving your work forward.
We see that you are flexible and can easily adjust your focus and working methods in changing circumstances, with a strong focus on the best interests of the organization.
As communication is a cornerstone of the role, we see that you communicate very well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. You are also digitally skilled.
Do you want to be part of our successful team and contribute to more people receiving the right guidance for a better future?
Welcome with your application!
