Our Operations

Hagaskolan started in 2019 and is a municipal primary school for students in grades F-9 with about 850 students and 100 employees. The school is located near Vallentuna center with good communications and nature close by. Here, there are suitable premises, outdoor classrooms, and a large, beautiful schoolyard that invites both social and knowledge-based learning. The craft room is newly built and very well-equipped, offering excellent opportunities for collaboration with other subjects due to its strategic location. Since spring 2022, Hagaskolan has been an accredited Erasmus+ school, which means we are investing extra in internationalization.

Job Responsibilities

You will work as a craft teacher for grades 4-9, primarily focusing on wood and metal crafts, with additional subjects in your qualification being a plus. By involving students in the teaching, you awaken and harness their interest and curiosity, making the lessons exciting and innovative. You base your teaching on scientific principles, have a formative approach, analyze teaching strategies, and develop and adapt the teaching based on students' learning and towards increased goal fulfillment. In your interactions with students, you constantly develop yourself and your role as a teacher. In your classroom, all students have the opportunity to succeed and demonstrate their knowledge in many different ways. In addition to pedagogical work, you build relationships with your colleagues and contribute to the school's development. The position does not include mentorship, but you collaborate with our experienced mentors as they have the overall responsibility for the students' entire study situation, and together you form a whole around the students' education.

Qualifications

• You are a licensed teacher with qualifications in crafts and preferably another subject.
• You are a skilled and clear leader in the classroom.
• You work formatively and language-developing.
• You are digitally savvy, as much of the pedagogical work is conducted digitally.
