Workplace Description

Mariehällsskolan opened in 2014 in the newly built area of Annedal in Bromma.

The school is currently a three-parallel school with about 550 students in grades F-6. At Mariehällsskolan, we have dedicated and driven staff with a genuine focus on student learning. We are now looking for someone who wants to be part of continuing to develop our wonderful school together with colleagues.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• are a certified music teacher
• have several years of current experience teaching in middle school

This temporary position is for the autumn term of 2026. The position is without mentorship and will involve teaching music for grades 3 - 6 while the regular teacher is on leave for studies. We would also appreciate other subject competencies that can strengthen our language development work at the school. You will be part of a team in middle school where teachers, special educators, and leisure staff work together around our students. You will teach in half classes.

• You plan for structured teaching that clarifies expectations on what and how students should learn.
• You believe in every student's ability to develop and learn and emphasize creating trusting relationships.
• You have a formative approach where you adapt your planning according to students' development and results.
• Through clear and engaging leadership, you involve students in both your teaching and planning to create a safe and accessible learning environment.
• You find it easy to collaborate and see it as a given to work collegially on planning lessons.
• You cooperate with students, colleagues, and guardians in a responsive manner.
• You work systematically towards goals and results and are driven and self-sufficient.
• You have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.
