Värmdö Gymnasium, one of Stockholm's most attractive high schools, is centrally located at Gullmarsplan in Stockholm.
The school has approximately 1380 students distributed across five college preparatory programs: EK, ES, NA, SA, and TE. Värmdö municipality is the main authority, but our students come from all over Greater Stockholm.
The operation is characterized by commitment and creativity and is focused on education, academic studies, and professional life. All teachers at the school are certified. Centrally located in the school is our fine library. For students in need of special support, we have a well-functioning studio. Värmdö Gymnasium is the school where students thrive and are given good conditions for learning and a democratic approach. Collaboration has made Värmdö Gymnasium one of Stockholm's most successful schools. We are now looking for a knowledgeable, creative, and dedicated certified teacher who shares our focus on learning, collaboration, and well-being.
The role of the teacher involves teaching courses/levels in Economics & Law. You will be a mentor for a class and be part of a work team that collaborates around students in the Economics program.
We are looking for an engaged, interested, and certified teacher qualified to teach Economics & Law (qualification certificate required). You have experience teaching at the high school level and are a skilled educator with the ability to inspire and engage students in learning and to individualize instruction based on different needs. You want to work for a good school culture and have the ability to create good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, as well as a clear structure for your work processes. You value close collaboration with colleagues and are receptive to others' knowledge and participate in collegial learning.
As a person, you have an easy time collaborating, are attentive, and have good communication skills as well as the ability to think innovatively. You enjoy working with young people and are driven by seeing them grow and develop.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
The employment is full-time and it is a permanent position, starting with a 6-month probationary period, beginning Monday, August 10, 2026.
