Nakterhusskolan is growing and is looking for more teachers!

Nakterhusskolan in Vega opened its doors for the first time in August 2020. Since then, we have grown and currently have 440 students at the school, distributed between preschool and grades 1-6. The school currently employs 55 dedicated staff members. For the upcoming fall, we will grow to approximately 500 students.

Do you want to contribute to the continued development of a well-functioning school where focus is on study peace, safety, and well-being? For the next school year, we are looking for a competent and committed teacher who will be responsible for teaching woodwork and metalwork as well as technology in grade 6.

The school's workshop is newly built, bright, and well-equipped with large windows. It is directly adjacent to the textile room, which creates good conditions for collaboration between the craft teachers. At our school, we see crafts as a cohesive subject, and collaboration between wood and textile teachers is therefore a natural part of the work.

Job Responsibilities

As a teacher at Nakterhusskolan, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up/evaluating the teaching. You are responsible for the daily work, safety in the workshop, and ensuring that students achieve the set goals.

In collaboration with school management and colleagues, you take shared responsibility for all the school's students, the ongoing development of the operations and the workshop, and you work to create a good atmosphere and mood in your groups, as well as in the school in general.

In your daily work with the students, you find individual solutions and setups based on the students' needs and abilities. A varied and adapted teaching approach is a given for you.

Qualifications

Licensed teacher with subject competence in crafts.

You are an engaged, driven, and positive person who finds qualified solutions to potential challenges. You are structured yet creative. You understand the importance of functioning relationships with students and their guardians. You are self-sufficient but also value the importance of having good colleagues around you, with whom you enjoy collaborating.

Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
