Workplace Description
Skanskvarnsskolan is beautifully situated in Årsta, overlooking Årstaviken.
The school is not far from Gullmarsplan, about a 7-minute brisk walk.
Currently, it is a F-8 school with approximately 650 students. The school is growing and will become an F-9 school by 2026.
We are a total of about 100 staff members working in various ways to support students' goal achievement and well-being based on an inclusive and salutogenic approach.
The school's vision underpins all activities and states:
"A school that holds together - for the student's best every day".
We are now looking for a person who, together with the preschool class mentor, creates a safe and good learning environment for our youngest students.
Job Description
You will work as a teacher in the after-school program in one of the school's teams, which are divided by grade levels F-3. The position is located in the preschool class.
- You plan, implement, and evaluate the activities based on national goals and guidelines, both independently and within the team.
- You apply a varied approach, expression forms, and learning environments.
- You offer a meaningful leisure time that is based on the students' needs, interests, and experiences.
- You see collegial learning as a natural part of your assignment and always have the student's best in focus.
- You share your experiences and knowledge and are open to new working methods.
Qualifications
You who are applying:
- are a licensed teacher for after-school programs and are interested in working with our youngest students.
- You are secure, stable, have good self-awareness, and adapt your approach depending on the situation.
- You appreciate working towards goals and focus on continuous improvements in the operations and your own professional practice.
- You have good collaboration skills with colleagues, students, and guardians.
- You have a good ability to listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively.
- You are structured, planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work effectively.
Other
The position is a full-time employment of 40 hours/week, scheduled Monday to Friday. Working hours are based on the school's opening hours, which are currently 06:30-18:00.
