Södertörn University is an institution in Stockholm that educates, researches, and collaborates for sustainable societal development. Approximately 14,000 students study here in about 80 programs and over 300 courses. Education and research are conducted in the fields of humanities, social sciences, engineering, and natural sciences. The university also offers teacher education with an intercultural profile and police education. Much of the research focuses on issues related to the Baltic Sea and Eastern Europe. The Department of Natural Sciences, Environment, and Technology has about 100 employees consisting of teachers/researchers, doctoral students, and administrative staff. Both in education and research, cross-disciplinary activities are prioritized, where researchers and students with different subject backgrounds work together and actively contribute to strengthening the multidisciplinary climate. The department consists of three academic divisions and one administrative division.
Informatics is an interdisciplinary subject at the Department of Natural Sciences, Environment, and Technology. Courses in informatics are offered at the undergraduate level (A-C). The educational programs Management with IT and Digital Business Development in Events and Projects are central educational programs for the subject (courses are offered at A to C level within both programs). Additionally, informatics is included in the Tourism program, and the subject's courses are also elective within programs in business administration and entrepreneurship. Collaboration with companies and authorities currently occurs within areas such as business development and digitalization as well as business intelligence. Research in the subject currently focuses on digital business and operational development both theoretically and in close collaboration with companies and authorities. The research is interdisciplinary towards, among other fields, business administration and tourism science.

The position is temporary with a scope of 75-100% lasting approximately 12 months, starting on 2026-04-01 or by agreement.
