Medical Secretary for the Emergency and Assessment Unit

The Psychiatric Clinic is part of the Skellefteå Primary Care Area, along with the Emergency Department, Medical and Geriatric Clinic, Rehabilitation Center, and Primary Care in Skellefteå and Norsjö municipalities. Together, we aim to provide good and close care.
The Psychiatric Clinic consists of approximately 250 employees. We provide both outpatient and inpatient care, as well as psychiatric compulsory care. We have 2 general psychiatric wards and one addiction ward. The outpatient care has several units, including 2 adult clinics, a young adult clinic, an addiction clinic, an emergency and assessment unit, and other specialized outpatient care units.
We are now looking for a medical secretary who wants to work in the Emergency and Assessment Unit, which is the entry point to psychiatry. All incoming referrals and self-care requests are handled by us. Our team consists of three medical secretaries, caregivers, nursing assistants, psychiatric nurses, psychologists, and doctors.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a medical secretary with us, you provide important service and enable interventions that affect many.
We work in teams where the job is varied, including referral rounds, handling incoming and outgoing mail, meeting patients at the reception, cash registration, appointment scheduling, telephone service for patients and other care units, writing medical records, as well as administrative and development work. You will be offered a varied job where you become an important part of our operations and can make a difference. Work takes place on weekdays during daytime hours.
QUALIFICATIONS
For this job, you need to be a trained medical secretary or alternatively a healthcare administrator.
We are looking for someone who is attentive, observant, meticulous, creative, service-oriented, and appreciates the value of good collaboration, as well as actively contributes to this. You need to be good at taking your own initiative and enjoy working with a wide range of tasks and collaborating with many different professional categories. You should express yourself well both verbally and in writing.
