HR Partner for the Preschool and Primary School Administration

In the HR unit, we contribute by supporting the administration's managers in their leadership. At the Preschool and Primary School Administration's office, management, finance, HR, legal affairs, communication, local planning, and administration work together. The HR unit consists of 13 employees divided into three teams: HR partners, HR strategists, and Recruitment Center.

Your Responsibilities

As an HR partner, you will serve as a consultative support to the managers of the Preschool and Primary School Administration on a wide range of HR issues. The main tasks will be to support and enhance our managers in their decision-making on HR matters related to rehabilitation and work adaptation, systematic work environment efforts, change management, as well as labor law and other conditions issues. You will be responsible for providing operational HR support based on Umeå municipality's applicable guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure a common employer policy.

Collaboration is a significant part of the job, where you will engage in both union collaboration and negotiations, as well as cooperate with both internal and external stakeholders, such as occupational health services, social insurance, and transition funds, etc. Other tasks that may be included in your assignment are to introduce new managers in the HR area and participate in group and individual initiatives. You will also participate in the development of both the Preschool and Primary School Administration's and the municipality's common HR processes, which includes training and informing managers in the area. In the role of HR partner, you will have the opportunity for significant personal responsibility and professional development.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

• a degree from a human resources program or another equivalent academic education.
• experience in qualified HR work, preferably within municipal or regional operations.
• good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
• good IT skills and experience working in HR systems.
• knowledge and experience in labor law issues throughout the employment cycle within the HR area.

The assignment as an HR partner is primarily operational and involves many relationships; therefore, the ability to build trust based on your expertise is essential. As a person, you are driven, responsible, and have a good ability to structure your work. Since the assignment involves close collaboration with colleagues within your own and other administrations, it is important that you enjoy collaborating, are communicative, and have the ability to build good relationships.
