Every day, hundreds of cases and matters are decided in the courts across Sweden. Our organization consists of employees with various competencies, each of whom is significant in maintaining legal security and high quality at all levels.
We are now looking for a case manager chief for our team.
Who are we?
Skellefteå District Court is a smaller general court with 22 dedicated employees who together handle and decide criminal cases, civil cases, and court matters.
The court is located in pleasant premises in central Skellefteå. Our jurisdiction includes the municipalities of Skellefteå, Malå, and Norsjö.

The work involves
As a case manager chief, you will lead, distribute, and develop the work within the case management group with a clear focus on the operations and their development. You have personnel and work environment responsibility for the court case managers, which includes conducting employee conversations, salary-setting discussions, ensuring that your employees have the right competencies and opportunities to develop, and that they are involved and engaged in the work and well acquainted with the goals of the operations. You will participate in the recruitment and introduction of newly hired court case managers.
You will collaborate extensively with other staff groups focusing on a holistic view and operational development. You will also sit on the management team.
In addition to your role as a manager and leader, you will also work operationally with the handling of cases and matters to some extent.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- completed secondary education with a diploma/certificate or other equivalent education
- experience in administrative work that the employer considers relevant for the position
- very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written
- good computer skills and ease in learning new IT-based operational support
It is meritorious if you have:
- post-secondary education that the employer considers relevant for the position
- management experience or other relevant experience in a leadership position with good references
- experience in operational development
To succeed in the role of case manager chief, you need to be clear in your communication and have a high level of integrity. You need to have the ability to create good relationships, both internally and externally. You are responsible and have a holistic perspective and work towards the court's common goals. Since the work pace can be high at times, you should have a good ability to handle stressful situations. You who apply should have the desire and ability to contribute to and develop the court's operations and meet high standards for quality and good service to citizens.
You have a good ability to lead and inspire your employees to create engagement and joy at work, both at the group and individual level. You are attentive and secure in yourself, have an easy time collaborating with others, are flexible, meticulous, and enjoy having structure in your daily life.

Other
The employment is a permanent position as a court case manager with a fixed-term management appointment with the possibility of extension. The employment begins with a six-month probationary period.
