Brå's mission is to promote crime prevention work through development, research, and knowledge dissemination, primarily to the government and authorities within the justice system. About Cve
The Center against Violent Extremism (Cve) has existed since January 2018. The center aims to strengthen and develop preventive work against violent extremism at the national, regional, and local levels. This will be achieved, among other things, by being a knowledge hub, providing tailored support to local actors, and contributing to creating a higher degree of efficiency and coordination in preventive efforts. The center is placed within the Crime Prevention Council and collaborates with authorities, municipalities, civil society, and other relevant actors.
About the Job
CVE is looking for an employee who wants to contribute to the center's knowledge development by collecting and compiling quality-assured knowledge based on existing research and proven experience regarding preventive work against violent extremism.
The purpose of the knowledge gathering is to provide quality-assured knowledge about violent extremism to strengthen preventive work at the local, regional, and national levels. To continuously follow the development of knowledge, systematic environmental monitoring is an important starting point. The research and practical knowledge within relevant subject areas that CVE collects, compiles, and disseminates in various formats. Violent extremism is a national issue with strong international connections. Therefore, the authority needs knowledge about the development of violent extremism internationally as well as knowledge about other countries' preventive work. CVE works to manage and develop cooperation with other countries, both within the EU and outside.
Your Education and Experience
We are looking for someone who:
- has an academic degree in criminology and/or other relevant education and work experience that the authority deems equivalent. A completed master's level is a requirement
- has a good understanding of scientific processes, good analytical skills, and curiosity about the balance between research and proven practice
- has a good ability to express themselves in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing
- is a Swedish citizen, as the job is security classified.
It is meritorious if you:
- have completed a doctoral education
- have knowledge of violent extremism, terrorism, and anti-democratic activities
- have experience in crime prevention work
- have knowledge and experience in using environmental monitoring tools
- have experience in training initiatives and in delivering presentations and workshops
- have experience in project management.

As a person, you are analytical, proactive, solution-focused, structured, meticulous, flexible, and able to collaborate easily with both internal and external contacts. Great emphasis is placed on your personal qualities and abilities.
Employment Conditions
