Skenäs Prison is located on Vikbolandet, about thirty kilometers outside Norrköping, and is not connected to public transport. Skenäs will be upgraded from security class 3 to security class 2 in 2026, which means a strong focus on general security work. The prison also houses a care department that includes both security, health, and medical care.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

At the prison, there is a requirement for the inmates to be engaged in activities, and there are both education and work opportunities. Work is conducted in carpentry, property management, outdoor environments with land and parks, as well as indoor environments with laundry, dishwashing, and cleaning. We are now looking for staff for the park and environment focus.

The role of production leader means that you will be a role model for the inmates and participate in daily work where you pedagogically instruct the inmates in both work tasks and behavior, attitudes, and values. As a production leader, you need to be safety-conscious as you are responsible for teaching how machines work and how they should be used safely. The position does not involve personnel responsibility but only work leadership of the inmates.

As a production leader, you are responsible for leading and distributing the work of the inmates on a daily basis, and you will also document the inmates' development and handle payroll administration for them. Furthermore, you will participate in coordinating cooperation between external and internal partners on a daily basis and/or with weekly planning. You will create dialogue internally and externally, examples may include handling external customers. The role also involves close collaboration with other production leaders and frequent communication with other staff groups.

Within the park and environment operations, there are two production leaders responsible for about 16 clients. In this role, you will lead clients who operate tractors, perform service tasks in outlying areas, mow grass, weed flower beds, plant, and renovate garden furniture, among other tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• Completed high school education or other education combined with work experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant
• Experience working with tractors
• The ability to express oneself well in spoken and written Swedish
• Driving license (B)

It is advantageous if you have:

• Experience in park and environment and/or gardening
• Work experience in corrections, security work, social care, psychiatry, or health and social care
• Work experience in a supervisory role
• Pedagogical experience
• Experience in motivational work
• Experience in invoice management
• Experience working with safety awareness in terms of both work environment and client safety
• Valid forklift license
