About the job as a Mechanical Designer:

As a Mechanical Designer at Jefferson Wells, placed at SAAB in Linköping, you will work on the design of tools and aids for detail manufacturing. In this role, you will have a central function in development and production-related work where your technical knowledge and understanding of mechanics will be crucial. You will collaborate closely with both engineers and production teams and contribute to effective and quality-assured tool solutions.

Common tasks include:

• Designing tools and aids within the mechanical field.
  * Working in Catia V5 and VPM.
  * Collaborating with production and development to ensure the right solutions.
  * Maintaining and improving existing tool solutions.
  * Supporting internal teams with technical questions.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone with experience in mechanical design who thrives in a technically challenging role. You are self-driven, meticulous, and have a solid interest in design and tool development. To fit in this role, we prefer that you have experience from similar work and have previously worked in the industry, preferably at SAAB or in related fields.

Additionally, we are looking for someone who:

• Has at least 1-3 years of experience in mechanical design.
  * Has experience in tool design.
  * Has good knowledge of Catia V5 and VPM.
  * Has experience from SAAB (preferred but not required).
  * Can work in a structured manner and take responsibility in technical projects.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations at the time. For positions where our client has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, involve requirements for certain citizenship.
