Your Role
As a Supplier Quality Manager within the Contracts & Sourcing function, you are responsible for ensuring and continuously improving the quality of our suppliers and the items we procure. You work proactively to prevent quality issues and drive continuous improvements in the supply chain.
Your role includes, among other things:
- Ensuring compliance with Saab's and customers' quality requirements throughout the supply chain.
- Managing corrective actions and conducting root cause analyses.
- Actively participating in Saab's supplier team.
- Analyzing, identifying, and initiating quality improvement actions.
- Evaluating, approving, and selecting suppliers together with strategic purchasing.
- Reviewing documentation at first delivery.
The work involves close collaboration with both internal functions and external suppliers. The role may also involve travel, primarily internationally, to follow up on supplier work on-site.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone with relevant education or experience from a similar role. You enjoy immersing yourself in manufacturing processes, new items, and customer requirements, and are motivated by collaborating with various stakeholders both internally and externally.
You are pragmatic, structured, and analytical, with good decision-making skills and a willingness to find flexible solutions. You have a holistic perspective, enjoy collaborating, and are driven to contribute to the company's success.
Qualifications:
- Relevant university degree or equivalent experience.
- Excellent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Ability to lead and conduct root cause analyses.
- Experience with problem-solving tools, such as Six Sigma.
- Ability to read and interpret design data, such as drawings and models.
Meritorious:
- Experience from the aerospace industry and working according to EN9100.
- Experience with international supply chains.
- Experience with internal and external audits.
- Background in mechanical engineering with a focus on quality and manufacturing.
- Certification as a Black Belt.
- Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI).
The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to current security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has security classification requirements, this may involve citizenship requirements in certain cases.
