Your Role

As a Senior Development Engineer, you will have a broad and responsible role in our technical department. You will work closely with designers, systems engineers, and project managers, and have clear technical responsibility within construction. You will drive larger construction tasks in both customer projects and internal development projects and actively contribute to technical choices and product development. Our systems have a wide technical breadth and include mechanics, hydraulics, electronics, pneumatics, textiles, and construction technology.

Examples of Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for the design and development of technically advanced system components
• Develop innovative solutions to complex technical challenges
• Contribute to and lead technical decisions regarding product specifications and design choices
• Have technical responsibility within construction and participate in design and drawing reviews
• Act as a mentor and support to junior colleagues
• Work with the design and documentation of systems, subsystems, components, and production equipment

Each delivery is customized for the customer. In the initial phases of projects, we adapt the technical documentation which is then handed over to purchasing and manufacturing. All assembly and functional testing take place in our own facilities. We also lead final assembly and verification on-site at the customer and train the customer's technicians. The position is not a traveling role, but there is an opportunity to participate in deliveries to customers when needed.

About You

We are looking for someone with a solid background as a designer and/or development engineer with at least 10 years of work experience. You have a master's degree or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent and very good knowledge of CAD, regardless of which tool you are used to. Since we work in an international environment, you need to have a very good command of English.

You have a good understanding of material selection, manufacturing methods, and design principles and can justify your technical decisions. You thrive in a broad technical role where you handle varying conditions and work with several technical areas simultaneously.

SCAMA's work takes place in a dynamic environment, which means you need to be flexible and comfortable with changing conditions. You have the ability to prioritize, take responsibility for the overall project, and collaborate closely with your team. You seek support when needed and are always willing to help others when the situation requires it.
