Your Responsibilities

Saab is now looking for a materials engineer in surface technology and metallurgy for its site in Tannefors. The role includes tasks such as:

• Driving investigations and qualifications in the field of surface technology and coating, where you assess the suitability of materials based on requirements, including lifespan and strength. • Supporting design and production with investigations and problem-solving when deviations occur. • Drafting reports and requirement documents that specify the material processes to be used in production. • Training staff in handling and applying the materials. • Keeping up to date with new materials and methods in the market that can benefit Saab's products. This gives you the opportunity to enhance your expertise in the field.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who has:

• A relevant academic background in chemistry, materials science, or mechanical engineering.

• Preferably a few years of experience in materials technology, providing a good understanding of the function, properties, and processes related to materials.

• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you:

• Have previously worked closely with production and application of materials.

• Have expertise in coating/paint.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
