In this role, you will be part of a team of 25 people responsible for production technology and preparation for Saab Dynamics' underwater products.

Your Responsibilities

We are in an exciting phase where the business is growing, developing, and driving several parallel projects – both in ongoing production and in the startup phase. As a result, industrialization work is becoming increasingly important, with a growing focus on manufacturability, optimized production flows, and the development and improvement of machinery and equipment.

In our continued build-up, we see a need for production technicians who not only want to develop processes but also have an interest in coordinating and leading daily work. The role can therefore be shaped either as a pure production technician role or combined with team leadership responsibilities, depending on your profile and ambitions.

You will work closely with our manufacturing within the underwater segment, with a particular focus on torpedo systems. Production is characterized by low volumes and high complexity, which demands accuracy, structure, and technical understanding. We have a strong focus on improvement and expect you to actively contribute to developing our working methods and processes.

In this role, you will build a broad network and collaborate closely with functions such as procurement, production planning, project management, and development, making you a vital link in the entire value chain.

Specifically, the job involves:

• Specifying and reviewing design documentation from a manufacturability and testability perspective.
• Specifying requirements for tools and fixtures.
• Creating manufacturing preparations and work instructions.
• Providing technical support to assembly personnel during assembly work.
• Training employees in new methods or working practices.
• Monitoring and quality-assuring manufacturing preparations and production processes.
• Optimizing operations.

Your Profile We are looking for someone with experience working with complex products, preferably with a background in mechanics or electronics. You have a natural sense of responsibility and thrive in a role where you get to help develop both working methods and results. You view questioning existing processes as a natural part of finding smarter and more efficient solutions.

You have knowledge of and experience working with Lean Production and are driven by the desire to continuously improve operations. As a person, you are proactive, communicative, and engaged, with a strong will to develop – both individually and together with the team.

With a proactive approach, you identify improvement opportunities and have the ability to structure and prioritize your work effectively.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to current security regulations. For positions where Saab has security clearance requirements, this may, where applicable, entail requirements for specific citizenship. A requirement for the job is that you have good knowledge of both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
