Östra Ängsskolan is a centrally located adapted primary school in Klippan. It is easily accessible by train, bus, or car. Östra Ängsskolan is a newly renovated F-9 school with about 60 students. The students study both subjects and subject areas. The school actively works with outdoor life, e.g., through "FunkisMulle".

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a leisure teacher/preschool teacher at our leisure center, you will among other things:

• Plan, lead, and evaluate pedagogical leisure activities based on the Education Act, curriculum, and goals for the leisure center
• Create clear, structured, and predictable learning environments, both indoors and outdoors
• Work with communication, social training, and everyday skills together with the students
• Use clarifying pedagogy, e.g., visual supports, schedules, and other visual aids
• Meet the students in a low-arousal and relationship-building manner
• Collaborate with teachers, student assistants, and student health during the school day and during the transition from school to leisure
• Participate in team meetings, leisure meetings, and joint planning
• Engage in dialogue with guardians and contribute to good cooperation between home and school

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

You are a licensed leisure teacher or licensed preschool teacher and have an interest in or experience working in adapted primary schools or with similar student groups.

Meritorious:

• Experience from adapted primary schools or other activities for students with intellectual disabilities.
• Knowledge of clarifying pedagogy, alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), and low-arousal responses.
