Your tasks

You will have a broad role in accounting, where you will:

• Manage accounts payable and receivable with a focus on accounts payable
• Bookkeeping and reconciliations
• Participate in monthly and annual closings
• VAT reporting in SEK and EUR
• Perform revenue recognition and accruals
• Support in reporting to the group and authorities
• Various administration such as contracts and car leasing
• Develop and document processes in preparation for the upcoming system implementation
• Be a collegial backup within the team

The work is currently done in a manual system flow with elements of workarounds, which requires accuracy and patience.

We currently work according to K2 but will transition to K3. SAP will be implemented over the next two-year period. Bookkeeping is done in euros, but invoicing is in SEK, which entails some complexity in VAT and currency management.

Our expectations

To succeed in this role, you have a post-secondary education in economics or equivalent experience, as well as several years of practical experience in qualified accounting work, including closings. You have excellent knowledge of both Swedish and English, spoken and written, as you will communicate with colleagues in both Finland and Japan. If you also have experience in bookkeeping in euros, that is a big plus. You, as a candidate, have very good skills in Excel (pivot level), and we would like you to have experience with SAP.

As a person, you are meticulous, curious, and unpretentious. You have no problem rolling up your sleeves when needed and are happy to help a colleague. You thrive in a changing environment where not everything is in place yet, and you have the patience to handle manual tasks and find solutions when systems fall short. Of course, you are also responsible and used to meeting deadlines, especially during closing periods.
