The Financial Supervisory Authority (FI) is now looking for a qualified lawyer for the Securities Market Law unit within the Capital Market Law department.
About the job
As a qualified lawyer with us, you will work on legal issues related to the securities market. The unit is responsible for issues concerning fund companies, managers of alternative investment funds, securities companies, exchanges, trading platforms, central counterparties, securities depositories, and administrators of reference values.
In this role, you will draft decisions and documents, as well as legally quality assure others' work. You will participate in investigations, drive sanction cases, and be responsible for regulatory projects/regulatory work. Your tasks also include providing legal support in supervision and licensing work, participating in international work in the area, and representing the authority in court.
The work involves close collaboration with colleagues from various professional backgrounds and contacts with industry representatives, the Government Offices, and authorities within the EU.
Your education and experience
We are looking for someone who
- has a law degree (LL.M.)
- has solid experience in qualified legal work, for example from court, the Government Offices, another authority, or law firm
- has good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
It is an advantage if you
- are an assessor in the Court of Appeal or Administrative Court
- have experience in decision-making and/or litigation
- have experience in legislative or regulatory work
- have knowledge of financial market law and EU internal market regulation.
