About the Job
Are you ready to make a difference in foster care and work in a role where you can truly have an impact?
We are looking for someone who, with your experience and drive, wants a key role in our team.
As a child secretary, you will have authority and actively work to plan and follow up on the care of placed children. You will have continuous contact with children and young people (0-21 years) in foster homes or residential care, primarily by regularly visiting them where they are placed. You will collaborate closely with their parents, foster homes, networks, schools, and other partners. You will continuously evaluate the children's needs and make assessments on how care should be best implemented. We use proven and research-based methods to ensure the quality of our work. You will work in a team with foster care secretaries around each child and their foster home. We also work with Skolfam, which is an evidence-based method, where we have psychologists and special educators with us, who strengthen our work to ensure that children have the best possible schooling.
We solve many difficult situations with high quality through collaboration and a structured approach. We have clear working methods based on BBIC and Signs of Safety, where we actively work to involve the network and explore the family's own suggestions for solutions while never compromising on the protection of children.
As an experienced child secretary, the focus will be on handling cases of a more complex nature where your experience and ability to find solutions are truly utilized. You will have considerable autonomy and the opportunity to influence how we best work to meet the needs of children and families. The role also includes being a co-handler for colleagues who are new to the profession.
You will have the opportunity for regular methodological supervision, both individually and in groups, and close support from supervisors. Evening work may occur, but we also offer flexibility in working hours and the possibility of remote work to facilitate a balance between work and private life. The position is geographically located in Bergsjön.
Qualifications
To apply for the position, you need to have:
- Degree in Social Work
- Good knowledge of child development
- Knowledge of legislation in the field of social child welfare
- Driving license (B)
It is also advantageous if you have:
- At least 5 years of experience in authority and social work with children and young people
- Good knowledge of BBIC
- Training and experience in child conversations
To succeed in this position, you need to have a clear child perspective, good ability to collaborate, and can adapt your communication according to the recipient and situation. To maintain legally secure documentation, you need to be meticulous and structured, as well as have a very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish. Furthermore, you use time efficiently, work systematically, organized, and methodically, and can restructure in acute situations and have the ability to make independent decisions within the framework of your assignment.
