About the workplace
The Assistance Unit consists of 13 dedicated social workers, one social administrator, two senior social workers, and one unit manager.
The unit is responsible for authority exercise according to SoL (elderly care) and LSS as well as the transport service law and national transport service. In addition to authority exercise, we actively work with collaboration and development in various areas, and your contribution as a social worker is very important. You will be offered professional development, internal method supervision, and external process supervision.
The Assistance Unit is located in central Nödinge, close to both the E45 and good public transport connections.

Job responsibilities
As a social worker, you will handle applications for assistance and requests for interventions according to the Social Services Act (SoL), primarily concerning interventions related to the target group aged 65+. As a social worker, you will work based on current legislation to inform, investigate, assess, make decisions, and follow up on interventions. In your role, you will meet individuals with mental/neuropsychiatric/physical and intellectual disabilities, their families, networks, and guardians/managers. We collaborate with service providers such as housing, housing support, home care, other social services, authorities, and healthcare.
The work involves a high degree of authority exercise with demands for legal certainty, a common approach, and equitable assessments. You should, with the help of your knowledge and a good attitude, ensure that the individuals we meet receive the help and support they need to live as independently as possible based on their own conditions. Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker.
We prefer that you are a secure and unpretentious person who:
- Has experience in authority exercise regarding the current target group and is well acquainted with applicable legislation.
- Has good communicative and analytical skills.
- Is structured and can maintain focus on the task despite the various demands of the environment.
- Enjoys collaborating but also working independently.
- Shares your experiences and learns from others.
- Likes development and is driven to find effective and legally secure working methods.
Experience with IBIC and work in the operational systems Treserva and SAMSA is an advantage.
A valid driver’s license is a requirement.
