The Social Care Administration in Borås City is responsible for the municipality's disability services, social psychiatry, and health care interventions for the mentioned target groups. The administration has about 1000 employees and 45 managers. We are in an exciting phase where development and change work has a strong focus aimed at improving the quality for those we exist for.

We are now looking for 4 positions for our operations at Brotorpsgatan! Here we focus on providing support and service to children and young people with disabilities.

Support Assistants for Brotopsgatan's Children's Home LSS

As a support assistant, you will provide individually tailored support and service based on the needs of the users. You will work according to individual implementation plans with a focus on increasing the users' independence and influence. A large part of the daily work consists of pedagogical motivational work aimed at helping the users achieve increased independence and influence over their daily lives.

You will support and motivate the users in their daily lives with everything from personal hygiene to leisure interests. The position involves close work with users where clarity and structure are important parts of the job. In this role, it is important that you have good physical fitness and experience in handling challenging behavior as it occurs in daily work, experience with low-arousal approaches and autism. Furthermore, it is advantageous if you have previous experience with individuals in the field of neuropsychiatry.

We are looking for someone with relevant education in care and social services, children and leisure, or a relevant field that the employer assesses to be equivalent. Your flexibility, ability to take initiative, and computer skills are important qualities for the position. You are responsible, structured, and have a good team spirit. This is a job for you who enjoy challenges, are physically active, have great patience, and want to work with children and young people in need of special support. Experience in low-arousal approaches, autism, and neuropsychiatry is advantageous.

A B driver's license is a requirement for the position.
