We are looking for individuals who want to work as social workers within the child and youth unit at a municipality in Västra Götaland County. The assignment focuses on investigative work according to SoL and LVU and is suitable for those who are confident in independent authority exercise.

👉 Your assignment

You will work within the child and youth unit with investigative work and be responsible for cases from early assessments to follow-up on decided interventions. The role entails overall responsibility for case management and close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Independently conduct protective and preliminary assessments within child and youth cases
• Investigate the needs of children and young people and decide on interventions according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and LVU
• Follow up, reassess, and conclude interventions in accordance with applicable legislation
• Document, keep records, and compile investigations, assessments, and decisions with high legal certainty
• Work according to applicable delegation and apply laws, guidelines, and local routines
• Collaborate with guardians, children and young people, as well as networks, schools, and other authorities
• Contribute to continuity, stability, and a professional approach in cases concerning children and families

You will work both independently and together with colleagues to ensure quality, legal certainty, and the best interests of the child.

✅ We are looking for you who

Must-have requirements

• Have a degree in social work
• Have at least 2 years of experience in authority exercise within children and youth
• Have worked within social services' child and youth activities in the last 2 years
• Have very good knowledge of SoL, LVU, the Administrative Procedure Act, and confidentiality legislation

Meritorious

• Experience with the operational system Combine
• Experience in mentorship or supervisory roles
• Previous assignments within municipal child and youth activities

📍 Scope

Full-time (100%), Monday–Friday from 08:00 to 17:00.

The assignment is located at a municipality in Västra Götaland County and the work is primarily on-site, with some flexibility possible by agreement.

📅 Assignment period

Planned start: earliest 2026-03-02.

The assignment runs until 2026-06-01.

Possibility for extension exists.
