About the Organization

Would you like to work as a social worker with us in one of our neuropsychiatric teams? As one of our social workers is retiring after many years of dedicated service at our clinic, we are now looking for someone to take over the baton.

Sahlgrenska University Hospital, Neuropsychiatry Clinic Öster is located at Krokslätts Fabriker in Mölndal and is part of the Västra Götaland region. The focus is on accessible and queue-free care with high patient safety. As an employee, researcher, and student, you are offered the rich opportunities of a large organization, many interesting projects aimed at the future of healthcare, and a clear profile towards clinical research. Neuropsychiatry Clinic Öster has about 4000 ongoing patients, most of whom have an ADHD diagnosis. We also receive many new patients and are a growing clinic. We assess ADHD and autism. We primarily treat ADHD and comorbidity in affective disorders. In addition to two social workers, the clinic employs doctors, nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists, rehabilitation coordinators, and secretaries. In total, we are about 60 employees at the clinic divided into four teams.

Job Responsibilities

As a social worker at the clinic, you work in collaboration with the patient, relatives, and often the municipality. You plan and assess care needs and perform care interventions related to your expertise. You conduct initial assessments and document your care interventions in the medical record system Melior. You are responsible for planning and booking your visits. The work requires good collaboration skills with other professionals as patients often need several simultaneous interventions.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker, preferably a licensed healthcare social worker with experience in psychiatric care. The most important thing is your ability to sensitively meet individual patients and contribute with needs assessments from a social worker’s perspective in the individual patient case. We value a good working climate at the clinic, which is based on strong commitment, a positive attitude, and good collegial community. Therefore, your collaboration skills and social competence are crucial. You should have good communication skills and be able to express yourself easily in both speech and writing.
