We are now strengthening our Resource and Treatment Team with a field secretary – a key person in our preventive work and in the transition to the new social services act that emphasizes crime prevention measures.

About the assignment

As a field secretary, you will work proactively and preventively to create good living conditions for young people. You will meet youth where they are – at leisure centers, in schools, in town – and build trust through supportive conversations and activities. You will become a trusted adult role model and an important link between social services, schools, police, and leisure activities. The work contributes to preventing crime, substance abuse, and problematic school absenteeism.

The work is varied and includes both individual support contacts and collaboration in various networks. Evening and weekend work may occur.

We are looking for someone who

• Has experience working with children and youth, preferably within social services or schools.
• Has good knowledge of youth environments and living conditions.
• Is flexible, proactive, and has an easy time creating and maintaining good relationships.
• Enjoys collaboration and working operationally.
• Is curious and wants to develop working methods that meet the needs of young people.

It is an advantage if you have experience working with problematic school absenteeism or crime.

Qualifications and conditions

Degree in social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or other equivalent education. Good knowledge of the tasks of individual and family care. A B driver's license is required. A criminal record check is required by law. The position is primarily during the day, but evenings and weekends may occur.
