Male Personal Assistant Wanted in Majorna, 30-40%

A 35-year-old guy in Majorna is looking for a male personal assistant.

The position starts as a part-time job and may transition to a fixed-term employment as long as the assistance assignment continues, approximately 30 to 40 percent, if we get along well.

About the Job

You will be a support in daily life, helping both at home, in daily activities, and during various events. The guy lives in Majorna and has his occupation in central Gothenburg.

Working hours vary between day, evening, weekend, and night. Night shifts include five hours of sleeping on-call. We often have longer shifts as it works best for him. The schedule is rolling.

Who You Will Support

The guy has a diagnosis within the autism spectrum and needs support with structure, planning, and getting things done. He also stutters, which sometimes makes it difficult for him to express what he wants to say. Therefore, it is important that you are comfortable with communication and can support him calmly, attentively, and respectfully, for example by giving time, asking clear questions, and helping to create context when words get stuck.

Who You Are

You are stable, reliable, and take responsibility. You are calm as a person and good at finding solutions when things need to get going. You can assist with everything from morning routines to filling free time with both recovery and activities. It is a plus if you can cook and enjoy being a bit creative in the kitchen.

Interests and Leisure

Music is a big interest. He can dive deep into different genres for periods and sometimes writes and produces music in the studio during daily activities. If you also have an interest in music, that’s an extra plus.

He also enjoys video games, especially Nintendo. Pokémon is high on the list, but he plays everything from quizzes to adventure and more casual games. He likes day trips, often related to the current special interest. You are welcome to have your own favorite place to show.

Other

This is a smoke-free workplace and the assignment is long-term. Besides being an assistant, you will also become an important person in his daily life, someone he gets to know and connects with.

We conduct interviews on an ongoing basis and will fill the position as soon as we find the right person. Since it takes time to build relationships and working methods, you need to see this as a job you want to stay in.

Normally, the person receiving assistance is the closest supervisor of the assistants, or a person with special knowledge about the individual is appointed.
