We are now looking for more social workers who want to help ensure that our operations maintain high quality with the needs of residents in focus.

What does the job entail?

As a social worker with us, you will work on investigating and following up on interventions according to SoL and LVU for children and young people aged 0-21 years. You will work closely with our Resource Unit, which provides outpatient interventions, and together we find solutions to create safety and stability for the children and families we meet.

We have a clear structure and use BBIC as the basis for our work. Right now, we are focusing on implementing Signs of Safety and placing great emphasis on involving children and young people in our interactions. We offer training and supervision to strengthen you in your work and ensure that we work together towards the same goals.

To give you the best possible conditions from the start, we have an introductory social worker who supports new employees in their daily work. You will also receive regular supervision and opportunities for professional development. In the unit, we also have senior caseworkers with extensive experience who can offer guidance and support to you as a colleague.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work. You should also have at least 2-3 years of experience working with children and young people, primarily focusing on investigative and follow-up work. You have a clear child perspective in your work and always start from children's rights.

You are well-versed in the legislation regarding SoL and LVU and have preferably worked with BBIC (Children's Needs in Focus). We also see that you have a good ability to investigate, document, and follow up on interventions. For the position, it is highly meritorious if you have a B driver's license.

As a person, you are good at collaborating and thrive in a team, while also having the ability to work independently, drive processes, and make your own decisions. You are confident in yourself and in your role as a social worker. Your communication skills allow you to meet people with respect and handle difficult conversations in a professional manner. You have a solution-oriented and positive approach, and you value collaboration to create the best support for each individual.

To succeed in the role, you need to be able to structure and prioritize your work well. You balance client meetings, documentation, and collaboration in a way that contributes to quality in the operations.

We in the social administration of the Center work every day to ensure that the residents of central Gothenburg have a better everyday life. Our tasks in the social field are many and span from authority exercise to promotional and preventive measures. We work locally but also have operations that target the entire city to meet the needs of our residents.
