About Unika Mölndal

Unika's LSS operations in Mölndal, located in Kållered, offer meaningful and inspiring workdays where you work closely with individuals with various disabilities. We are now looking for support assistants who can work during the summer when regular staff are on vacation. We work long shifts distributed over days, evenings, and on-call, and we are also looking for substitutes who can work awake nights. Our residence is aimed at individuals within group 3 according to LSS 9:9, which means individuals with permanent and extensive physical or mental disabilities. Here, you will work in a warm and developing environment where each day brings new experiences and challenges.

About the role of Support Assistant

As a support assistant, you will work to provide individually tailored support to individuals with disabilities, aiming to promote their independence and well-being in everyday life. You will support users in their daily routines and activities, based on their needs and abilities, always using their personal implementation plan as a starting point.

We work with a salutogenic and pedagogical approach, focusing on each individual's unique strengths and resources. The goal is for users to achieve as much independence as possible and to live a meaningful life with high quality of life. As a support assistant, you will work based on clear pedagogical methods and low-arousal responses to create safety and predictability in the users' everyday lives. At the same time, we have a strong focus on working professionally and efficiently within the resources and budget of the organization.

Qualifications

You are relationship-building, calm, stable, and can maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work. You have good collaboration skills and relate to others in a responsive manner, enjoying working with others. You are an independent, humble, and responsible person who is passionate about care work and can see the individual's needs.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

Requirements:
  • Very good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

  • Good computer skills, experience in documentation.

  • Experience in healthcare and social care.

  • High school education such as child and leisure program, healthcare and social care program, or post-secondary education such as support pedagogue, social pedagogue, or university education in a relevant field.

It is advantageous if you also have:
  • Experience in psychiatry, AAC, and low-arousal responses.

  • Worked with complex support needs.

Employment Conditions

Employment Type: Summer substitute Work Percentage: 100% Working Hours: Long shifts distributed over day-evening and on-call or awake nights Start Date: By agreement, we view positively if you can start shortly. Collective Agreement: We are bound by collective agreements with Vårdföretagarna/Kommunal, Branch E.
