About the Job

We are now looking for a development leader in public health for the Social Administration Nordost.

We focus on reducing disparities in health and living conditions. The position is organized within the department for welfare and leisure in the unit for community development. You will work with the needs of the entire population in collaboration with other administrations, regional operations, and civil society.

This is a varied job with great opportunities to influence your workday. Responsibilities include strategic work such as health descriptions of the population, guiding documents for public health and equal living conditions, as well as coordinating cross-sectoral work based on the developed action plan. Additionally, you will initiate, support the implementation, and coordinate public health initiatives, as well as participate in the development of public health work within the City of Gothenburg.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in public health or a degree that the employer assesses as equivalent. You need to have work experience in public health, social sustainability, or similar fields, with the ability to work independently. You have insight and knowledge of how different groups' conditions affect health and living conditions, as well as experience in collaboration with public actors and civil society. You also need experience working in a politically governed organization.

We are looking for someone with knowledge and experience in public health work. To succeed in your role, it is an advantage if you are accustomed to leading processes and are structured and analytical in your approach. You need to be aware of your surroundings, communicative, and social, and enjoy working on multiple processes simultaneously.

You are stimulated by working with complex issues and contexts, and you have a good ability to switch between different perspectives. You are driven and motivated to be involved in community development and to develop public health work.

You communicate in a way that creates engagement and participation, and you have a very good ability to express yourself in both speech and writing.

The Social Administration Nordost works to provide residents in northeastern Gothenburg with an equitable and effective welfare system that allows them to live safe and independent lives. The administration provides support to individuals and families according to the Social Services Act. We also offer activities and meeting places that can provide children and young people with a meaningful leisure time. Additionally, the administration actively works with crisis support, safety issues, community life, public health, and contacts with residents and civil society.
