We are looking for several dedicated personal assistants who want to help build a completely new assistant team around a 30-year-old woman living in Gothenburg. The woman lives with MS, acquired brain injury, and epilepsy and has recently been granted personal assistance. Here you have the opportunity to be involved from the start and create a safe, active, and meaningful everyday life together with her.
About the positionAs a personal assistant, you support the woman in her daily life through personal care, household chores, and social support. You help with structure and planning when her functional variation affects memory, time orientation, and spatial awareness. An important part of the assignment is to listen to her wishes and work calmly and respectfully according to her needs.
Since the woman has epilepsy, it is important that you are attentive, secure, and follow established routines during any seizures. She has epileptic seizures about 3–4 times a month, and these can occur without warning, which requires you to be present and observant in your work.
On weekdays, the woman participates in daily activities, which you accompany her to and are responsible for drop-off and pick-up. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, practicing yoga, taking care of her cat, spending time with her family and their pets, and gardening in her greenhouse.
Working hours and setupThe shifts are scheduled for day, evening, night (awake), and weekends. The positions are part-time with a planned start in March 2026. Introduction and training will take place in February by agreement, so that you can get to know the client, her needs, and the aids used.
