Your Workplace

We are looking for someone who wants to make a real difference for children and families! We seek an experienced, driven, and committed individual who is open to different perspectives and wants to create long-term sustainable solutions for children and their families. In Härryda, you will have the opportunity to work in a pleasant and collaborative environment where your work truly makes a difference every day.

About the Unit

Within the unit for investigation and protection, we work in qualified reception, investigation, and follow-up work according to applicable legislation. BBiC (children's needs in focus) and Signs of Safety permeate all our work, as we explore networks and their own solutions together with families, always with the child's safety and best interests as a starting point. You drive processes forward by being structured, curious, and brave.

The unit for investigation and protection consists of a reception, two investigation groups, a high-intensity investigation group, and the social services' domestic violence team. The area of operations also includes the prevention unit and the family support and foster care unit, which enables close collaboration and the right help at the right time. We are now developing and expanding our high-intensity investigation group!

Our Work Environment

Our unit is characterized by respect, safety, courage, curiosity, and joy at work. We share this with our colleagues in preventive and operational units. Together, we actively work on the work environment, well-being, everyone's participation, and competence development. With us, you will be part of a genuinely pleasant, caring, unpretentious, and competent workgroup!

Your Mission

In your role as a social worker in the high-intensity investigation group, you will meet children, youth, and families who return to social services, where there is previous concern/previous knowledge and where sufficient change has not occurred and there is a need to try something new. The working method involves intensive and close collaboration with families and networks, and to make this possible, you have fewer cases and usually a colleague as a co-worker.

High-intensity investigation work aims to achieve change so that existing concerns decrease. High-intensity investigation work often requires the involvement of several professional actors who collaborate in various ways around the family several times a week. The work involves a combination of investigative work and active change work.

You use the BBiC method to map and analyze the child's needs and take a systemic theoretical holistic perspective with Signs of Safety as your approach. You follow up and evaluate decided interventions. You have close collaboration with both internal colleagues and external partners. You actively participate and contribute to the development of the organization.

Requirements for the Position

Requirements:

  • You have a degree in social work (210 credits)
  • Driver's license B
  • Experience in investigative work/exercise of authority

Meritorious:

  • Training in BBiC, Signs of Safety, Ester, Savry, systems theory, MI, ViNR, or honor-related violence and threats
  • Experience in social work with children and youth
  • Experience in treatment work

For employment in authority-exercising assignments, a background check will be conducted, including an extract from the Police's criminal record and study extracts from the university or college.

Your Personal Qualities Are Important to Us

You are knowledgeable, analytical, and have a clear child focus but are also kind, caring, and secure in yourself. You can adapt to changing circumstances, are patient, creative, and eager to drive client processes forward. You enjoy collaborating with others and also have the ability to work independently. You demonstrate good judgment and a respectful attitude towards others. You want to contribute to maintaining our positive work environment and great atmosphere. In your work, it is important that you can express yourself well in both speech and writing and that you adapt your communication to the situation and target group. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
