Specialist Legal Advisor at the Administrative Court in Gothenburg
Every day, hundreds of cases and matters are decided in courts across Sweden. Our organization consists of employees with various competencies, each of whom is significant in maintaining legal security and high quality at all levels.
The Administrative Court in Gothenburg is one of Sweden's largest courts with approximately 280 employees. Our main task is to resolve disputes between individuals and authorities. The Administrative Court is also one of the country's four migration courts.
We are now looking for someone who wants to work in one of our society's most important operations alongside knowledgeable and driven colleagues. We offer an interesting, responsible, and developing job. Our employees are our most important resource, and as an employer, we care about our employees' well-being and development. We continuously work on work environment and equal treatment and believe that a balance between work and leisure is an important prerequisite for thriving and feeling good. We also continuously work on quality and development. We are located in pleasant and modern premises in central Gothenburg.
The court currently has six adjudicating departments, each focusing on one of the major areas of law – tax law or social insurance law. In addition, all adjudicating departments work with migration cases. The administrative department includes the court's case management units, the registry and archive unit, the administrative office unit, and the IT, security, and service unit.
Do you want a meaningful job where every day feels like the most important?
Then the role of specialist legal advisor at the Administrative Court in Gothenburg is right for you. In your role as a specialist legal advisor, your working time is divided into two main areas. You work as a specialist in a specific area of law and as a methodological supporter in legal investigations. You are a resource for the entire court, and you are responsible for sharing your expertise with your colleagues and educating within your area. In your role as a specialist, you also actively participate in various competence and working groups within your area.
The second part of your role means that you work as a reporting lawyer. You then work together with the court's judges (assessors and clerks) and independently prepare cases for decision. You work with qualified legal tasks, which include conducting legal investigations, presenting and writing proposals for judgments and decisions. You participate in oral hearings where you present the case to the court, take minutes, and provide a proposal for a decision during deliberation.
We are now looking for specialist legal advisors in the areas of legality review and migration.
Through our work, we support the democratic foundation, and what we do is important – for your and everyone else's legal security.
