WE WANT SWEDEN'S HAPPIEST RESIDENTS. ARE YOU WITH US?
In Flen municipality, we are committed to building something long-term. A community where people thrive, grow, and stay. Our new and bold vision, Flen – Sweden's happiest municipality, is more than just words. It is a direction we have chosen together and a reminder of whom we are here for. In every meeting with a resident, in every decision we make, in every day we shape – we will think with our hearts. And it starts with us. We are now looking for a team leader for the labor market unit's work team – a role for you who want to combine leadership and service with guidance and motivational support for people with different conditions!
HERE ARE YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The labor market unit offers services for individuals receiving social assistance and for young people covered by the municipal activity responsibility. The work takes place in the municipality's operations where participants test and practice their abilities through various service and craft-oriented tasks — for example, reuse and recycling of furniture, simpler café operations, or practical work tasks such as assembly, cleaning, painting, and light carpentry. The operations are based in Flen, but the assignment involves work throughout the municipality.
As a team leader, you have an important role in leading and coordinating the daily work. You motivate and support participants in their development and are engaged in finding solutions based on each participant's needs. Together with the unit's other coaches and colleagues, you follow the participants' paths towards set goals and contribute to structure and clarity in everyday life. The assignment also includes observing participants' work ability and development and documenting this in digital operational systems. In this way, you create good conditions for participants to develop their work ability and take steps towards work or studies. An important part of the role is to meet the municipality's clients in a service-oriented and professional manner, where quality, responsiveness, and delivery are a natural part of the work.
FOR THIS ROLE, YOU NEED TO:
- At minimum, have a high school diploma.
- Have a B driver's license.
- Be practically inclined and have experience with simpler tasks such as painting and carpentry.
- Have experience in service, leadership, guidance, or pedagogical support in practical work environments.
- Have an excellent ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
- Have good computer skills and the ability to observe, assess, and document participants' development in digital operational systems.
WE HIGHLY VALUE:
- Certificate for Hot Work.
- Forklift license.
- Experience in work-oriented rehabilitation or labor market initiatives.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or mental health issues.
- Experience in practical work within any of the operational areas included in the role's assignment.
YOUR PERSONAL QUALITIES
To succeed in the role, we believe you are service-oriented, flexible, and easily adaptable to changing conditions in everyday life. You meet and coach people from different backgrounds, conditions, and needs in a respectful and professional manner, and can adjust your approach according to the individual and the situation. You take responsibility for the daily work and create clarity and structure that provide participants with good conditions to develop and achieve their goals. We place great importance on personal suitability.
WHY WORK WITH US?
In Flen municipality, we want to give you good conditions to thrive both at work and outside of it. We offer, among other things, vacation exchange, wellness benefits, and reimbursement for patient fees up to the high-cost protection – and there are more benefits than that. Many of our workplaces also have good commuting opportunities. You can read more about what it is like to work with us on the municipality's website: flen.se.
READY TO APPLY?
We recruit based on competence, and therefore use selection questions instead of a personal letter.
