Development Leader for the Social Office in Strängnäs Municipality
Do you want to help shape the future of care and support? The Social Office in Strängnäs Municipality is now looking for a development leader who wants to take a strategic and cohesive responsibility for the transition to good and close care. The assignment is central to the office's long-term development and is about creating real change – from words to action.
Strängnäs Municipality actively participates in the joint effort for Close Care in Sörmland. The work is based on the regional vision and roadmap developed in collaboration between the municipalities in the county and Region Sörmland. As a development leader, you will be an important link in translating these regional strategies into concrete benefits for the residents of Strängnäs.
The Social Office consists of four areas of operation: elderly care, support for people with disabilities, individual and family care, and health and medical care, which are supported by the administration and digitalization department. You belong to Administration and Digitalization, but your assignment is cross-office and spans all operations in close collaboration with the region and other actors.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The assignment is strategic and is about ensuring that decisions about Close Care are implemented in practice. The focus is on moving from decisions and plans to real change, so that the residents of Strängnäs Municipality experience a closer, more cohesive, and person-centered care and support.
You are a driving force in the change work and strengthen the internal and external structures required for the transition to succeed. The assignment does not involve operational implementation responsibility in the operations but is about creating clear conditions for managers and operations to implement the change. The assignment involves close collaboration with the development leader for the transition to the new Social Services Act, as well as with operational developers, MAS, SAS, and other key resources in the operations, to ensure coordinated and sustainable long-term implementation.
Your role includes:
- Ensuring impact: Responsible for ensuring that the vision for Close Care is translated into concrete operational development through strategic coordination, follow-up, and requirements for how decided goals and commitments are integrated into the operations.
- Strategic direction and prioritization: Responsible for the Social Office's overall work with Close Care, which includes highlighting goal conflicts, identifying development needs, and proposing necessary choices.
- Creating strategic conditions: Support managers and operations by establishing clear frameworks, common working methods, and follow-up structures that enable the shift from reactive to proactive, health-promoting, and person-centered working methods.
- Analysis, follow-up, and reporting: Systematically follow up, analyze, and assess goals, results, and effects, and prepare materials for governance and reporting to management and political committees.
- Long-term collaboration and representation: Ensure appropriate structures for internal and external collaboration, and represent Strängnäs Municipality in regional networks and working groups within the framework of Close Care in Sörmland.
Travel may occur in the position.
