Our workplace

In our unit in Värmland, there are 140 employees, and we are located in the towns of Hagfors, Torsby, Arvika, and Karlstad. Together, we work towards common goals and can always count on each other's support in our work. Job Description
As a Job Coach, you will focus on job seekers and employers, and you will be an important support for them, making a difference every day. A central part of the work is to inform and communicate about the Employment Agency's mission, services, and rights and obligations. The work requires curiosity with the ability to make the difficult simple.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working more deeply with people who, for various reasons, have difficulty entering the labor market. Your tasks will include identifying job seekers' competencies, barriers, and motivations to find, obtain, retain, or return to employment. After identification, concrete measures will be developed that should be coordinated and collaborated with relevant partners and authorities. The work may also include guidance, educational initiatives, or development of job search strategies. You are expected to stay updated on the labor market and employers' recruitment needs.

We are looking for new colleagues who will work specifically with job seekers with disabilities who need individual support to find, obtain, or retain a job. The job involves close collaboration with employers in both the private and public sectors, often on-site at workplaces.
Your employment will begin with an introduction where you will be well equipped with the necessary skills to handle your upcoming tasks as a civil servant.
Our offer
The position is a permanent full-time employment that may begin with a six-month probationary period. Possible locations for the position are Hagfors, Torsby, Arvika, and Karlstad, but travel may occur throughout the county.
You will have access to a generous vacation agreement, flexible working hours, and the opportunity to work remotely for part of your working time when the business allows. We also include wellness during working hours and a favorable wellness allowance.
Basic requirements for the position
- University/higher education of at least 180 higher education credits (120 credits according to the previous system)
Alternatively
- you have been employed as a Job Coach at the Employment Agency and are assessed to have good prerequisites to meet today's requirements for Job Coaches
And
- At least 2 years of work experience, collectively working at least 50 percent over a total of 2 years
- Good knowledge of Swedish, that is, a good ability to communicate in speech and writing, as well as high reading comprehension
- Driver's license (B)
Other merits for the position
- Experience and knowledge of collaboration with other actors, such as authorities, municipalities, partners, employers
- Work experience in interpreting and applying regulations
- Work experience in guidance and coaching
- Experience and knowledge of various types of work barriers (e.g., disabilities, addiction, and social legal issues)
