Inspectors Wanted at the Swedish Health and Social Care Inspectorate (IVO)

Then you might be the one we are looking for! The Swedish Health and Social Care Inspectorate (IVO) is now seeking several inspectors for investigative work in the Eastern Department in Stockholm. Here, you will meet colleagues from across the country with varying educational backgrounds and experiences.

About the Job

As an inspector, you are an important part of our team. You contribute legal expertise in the work of investigating, processing, and presenting cases related to record destruction, handling of record archives, and the release of records. The work is carried out in close collaboration with other inspectors who have backgrounds in the health and medical care sector.

You will have contact with both healthcare providers and individuals, and your work is based on reviewing and assessing according to current legislation. Our focus is always on people's rights and safety. We work based on clarity, integrity, and efficiency – grounded in the state value base. IVO's mission changes over time, which means that as an inspector, you need to be prepared to face new questions and priorities.

Qualifications

  • Law degree
  • Good and current IT and computer skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

You need to be able to work independently with great drive, structure and prioritize your time, while also being a team player who enjoys collaborating in various constellations. You are confident in your decisions and have the ability to listen to and consider others' perspectives. Communication is one of your strengths – you express yourself clearly and convincingly both verbally and in writing.

We consider it an advantage if you have:

  • Experience working with confidentiality issues
  • Experience in investigative work, preferably within public administration
  • Good knowledge of general administrative law

We strive for a composition of employees that reflects the diversity of society. The employment is permanent and full-time with placement in Stockholm. A six-month probationary period applies. Start date will be agreed upon.

The authority has about 800 employees. Supervision is conducted at six regional departments across the country, while licensing, analysis, planning, communication, and operational support are located in Stockholm, as well as the director-general's staff.
