About the System Management Unit and the Staff

The System Management Unit (SFE) is a unit under the Swedish Armed Forces' Telecommunications and Information Systems Command (FMTIS), where SFE manages and develops the Armed Forces' IT systems. Our main mission is to ensure the operation of the systems and that their information is secure, accurate, and accessible, thereby contributing to the Armed Forces' operational capability.

The staff at the System Management Unit consists of staff functions in areas such as administration, security, finance, production coordination, work environment, logistics, HR, and training operations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the security service within the unit
  • Lead and coordinate the security personnel within the unit
  • Lead and coordinate the training of the unit's personnel regarding security service
  • Lead and coordinate internal control of security protection at the unit
  • Support with security vetting of personnel
  • Collaborate with other actors within the unit's geographical area
  • Signal protection management
  • Develop security protection analyses, position analyses, and conduct security protection planning
  • Participate in staff work with other functional representatives in the unit's staff

You will be part of the unit's staff, which among other things is responsible for ensuring that the security protection at the authority is maintained. We work according to the security protection law, security protection regulations, and the Armed Forces' regulations.

The work may involve travel within Sweden.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in the security area, e.g., KHS (Course for Security Service Handlers within the Armed Forces) or training as a security coordinator/security officer/security manager, or equivalent that the employer considers equivalent.
  • Previous service in a security organization within the Armed Forces or a security organization at another authority or organization.
  • Experience in security protection analysis work and security protection planning.
  • Knowledge of the security protection law, security protection regulations, and corresponding legislation.
  • Swedish and English in speech and writing.
  • Driver's license category B.

Meritorious

  • Signal protection training.
  • Experience in security vetting.
  • Security Officer Course (SOK).
  • Basic military training.

Start date according to agreement.

Permanent employment, a 6-month probationary period applies for those who are currently not employed within the FM.
