Security Guard with Dog at Avarn Security

As a security guard at Avarn Security, you have a vital societal mission to protect and monitor security objects according to the Protection Act.

The task of a security guard is to monitor security objects and protect against sabotage, espionage, terrorist crimes, and serious robbery. A security guard has special powers to inspect vehicles, conduct body searches, seize items, expel, and detain individuals present at a security object. Security objects are operations that are important for society to function in peace, crisis, or war. Examples of security objects include a nuclear power plant, an airport, or a military facility.

Are you passionate about dogs and interested in an exciting career in the security industry? We are looking for dedicated dog handlers who want to develop and grow with us in our dog operations. With us, you will work with your dog every day and have the opportunity for training if you lack the right skills – if we assess that you are the right person for the job, we will arrange training!

We are looking for both protection dog handlers (RPS) and EDD handlers (Explosive Detection Dog). Your dog will be with you both as a colleague at work and as a family member at home. Do you already have a dog that you think is suitable as an RPS or EDD dog handler? Our experienced dog instructors will assess whether your dog can become a service dog.

Duration: Full-time

Start date: By agreement

Working with us means you will be part of a team where collaboration, training, and exercises beyond the regular assignment are a natural part. An important part of the role is to strengthen the protection of our client, and for certain positions, HAS training (Handling of Firearms) is required.

• Is communicative and has good physical ability.
• Is social, empathetic, and positive with an inner security and natural drive to help.

Requirements for applicants:

In addition to the personal qualities we seek and describe in the various assignments, you need to meet basic requirements to qualify for the position:

• At least 18 years old before starting the assignment
• High school diploma
• Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written
• Driver's license B
• Experience with dogs

You must also be without a criminal record*, drug-free, have an orderly economy, and good health and fitness to be employed at Avarn Security.

It is particularly meritorious if you already have one or more of the industry-specific training required to work here. You will have the opportunity to check off the training you have in the selection questions. If you do not have any of the required industry training, we will cover the training.

Our operations run 24/7, year-round, and may involve long shifts and inconvenient working hours. Avarn Security offers salaries according to the collective agreement between Security Companies and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union. Since Avarn Security is a security-classified company, a security review with a background check will be conducted according to the Security Protection Act.
