Since the position is a summer temporary job, we wish that you are available for work between weeks 23-33. Securitas will assign you a schedule so you can plan your summer in good time with both work and enjoyable activities! Whether you want to work day or night, in a fast-paced or calm environment, Securitas has the job for you.

As a security guard, your main task is to deliver safety to our customers. You will do this, for example, in a monitoring center or at an access control point. As a security guard, you have greater authority than a regular guard and often work closely with our customers' staff with objects that are crucial to Sweden's security. As a serving security guard in the Uppsala area, you will carry a weapon, which places higher demands on you as an applicant. To carry a weapon in service, you need to undergo a HAS training (Handling of Firearms), this training is offered by Securitas for this position. A passing shooting test is a requirement.

The work is independent and often feels free, but with great responsibility.

The tasks are highly varied and as a security guard, you can work both indoors and outdoors, at night or during the day. The length of shifts varies, but they are often scheduled in 12-hour shifts. Since we are a business that operates every day of the year, it is common to work every other weekend.

You will, for example:

• Handle cases within your assignment area
• Ensure that no unauthorized persons have access to the objects
• Staff stationary objects as needed

Requirements

• Civil or military security guard training; if you have completed security guard training with the Armed Forces as part of the Armed Forces' basic training (GMU), this can be validated for civilian use. The security guard training, as well as GMU, must have been completed in 2016 or later, and your training certificate must not be older than five years at the time of application
• Approved grades in Swedish and English from the first year of high school
• Driving license B
• Swedish citizenship
• Approved in security screening

Meritorious if you

• have previous experience in guarding protected objects, other security work, or security work.
• have an approved HAS training
• have guard training

As a person, we believe you are service-oriented, calm, and organized and can handle periods of high work pace. You are interested in technology and have an easy time understanding instructions. We see that you as a candidate are an independent person and trust your own abilities, quickly understand problems and solve them creatively. You have a systematic and careful approach with an eye for detail. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal suitability for the position.

Security Screening

Please note that the position is classified in a security class and means that you will undergo a security screening according to Security Protection Act (2018:585). To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to the applicable regulations, security interviews, background checks, and register checks will be conducted.

Salary and employment conditions are based on collective agreements between the employer organization Security Companies and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
