This role is important, giving you a great opportunity to support and coach managers in developing the physical work environment across Dagab Nord (Bålsta, Örebro, Borlänge, Jordbro, and Torsplan), which is a business in constant change.
Company Information
Your base location is Dagab in Bålsta, which has approximately 1,000 employees in both production and transport. The operations are characterized by increased automation, technical development, and changing work methods, which impose new demands on workplace safety efforts. Here, employees work in high warehouses and technical environments where they sometimes need to work at heights or handle advanced equipment – making your role both important and complex. Other warehouses in the North are more regular warehouse and transport operations with many employees driving forklifts, loading… .
At Dagab, you will have an important role in a socially vital business, with the opportunity to influence, support development, and continue building workplace safety efforts, as well as receive good support from colleagues and the chief safety representative on-site.
Role Information
As an Occupational Safety Coordinator, your main workplace and focus will be in Bålsta, but you will also support other sites in the North. Frequent travel (day trips) will occur.
You will work closely with the local operations, HR, and safety functions. This is an operational and business-oriented specialist role where you support managers and leaders in daily workplace safety efforts while also helping to develop structures, methods, and approaches for how workplace safety should be managed moving forward. The focus of the role is on the physical work environment – production, warehousing, automation, technology, and transport.
In this role, you will report to the head of "Work Environment and Health Development," who is part of Dagab's HR management team.
Job Responsibilities
In this role, you will, among other things:
- Work to develop and establish "A Dagab Work Environment Initiative" and further develop the systematic work environment efforts
- Support and coach the operations as an internal expert in workplace safety
- Drive the development of strategies, methods, and approaches within workplace safety together with both the Dagab work environment team and also support and work with the corporate work environment team.
- Initiate, drive, and participate in projects and improvement initiatives
- Contribute to building a strong safety culture
- Support the operations in identifying and assessing risks and, if necessary, investigate incidents and accidents
- Be a super user in Dagab's IA system
- Ensure that work is conducted in accordance with legal requirements
- Actively monitor the work environment area and share knowledge and experiences to contribute to the overall development of the company

- At least 5 years of experience in operational workplace safety or quality/safety work
- Experience in workplace safety within industrial operations such as production, warehousing, industry, or similar operations
- Good knowledge of workplace safety legislation and regulations

As a person, you are:
- Structured and meticulous
- Confident in your expertise and willing to take on the role of an expert
- Communicative and attentive, with the ability to understand the daily lives of managers
- Coaching in your approach – you help the organization do the right thing, not just follow rules
- Solution-oriented and pedagogical
