About the Role

As a security guard, you have a genuine desire to build good relationships and respect everyone, regardless of background. You are employed by Securitas but work under the police authority's regulations. Your main task is to make people feel safe in their daily lives. You do this by being present in public places, which hopefully has a calming effect, but if the situation requires it, you are expected to act.

The position is a summer temporary job, so we wish for you to be available for work between weeks 25-33. Securitas will assign you a schedule so you can plan your summer with both work and enjoyable activities in good time! You will be based in Uppsala and may work days or evenings. This position is suitable for you who enjoy working with people and want to make a significant contribution to society. We have a strong community and a wide range of experience among our colleagues that enables us to handle most situations. If you want to be part of a close-knit team, this is the job for you.

Requirements

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a calm and stable person who can maintain composure even when a lot is happening around you. You are humble, team-oriented, and service-minded in your interactions with the public, but you also understand the responsibility of your role and can remain objective when necessary. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal suitability for the position.

• You have a security guard training and a valid security guard license
• Approved grades in Swedish and English from the first year of high school
• B driver's license

We consider it an advantage if you are a trained security guard and/or store detective, and have experience working in the security industry.

• The position is a summer temporary job at 75% with a start date according to agreement. If you are a trained store detective or security guard, it may be possible to work up to full-time during the summer. We apply a 6-month probationary period.
• We work with selection tests.

For employment within Securitas Sweden AB, it is required that you have approved grades from high school in Swedish and English and are approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on security companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to each regulation, a background check will be conducted. The assessment concerns law-abidingness, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from you, open sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment when evaluating suitability for each position.

Salary and employment conditions are based on the collective agreement between the employer organization Security Companies and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
