About the Job

Within the Security Unit, we are responsible for several areas such as information security, physical security, fire protection, security protection, radiation protection, and export control.

Physical security is currently a major focus as we are working on replacing our access control system with a new one. We are also working with crisis management, security planning, incident management, risk and vulnerability analyses, as well as training in various forms, among other things. The safety and security of students and staff is a core issue in our operations.

The work involves many points of contact and collaborations both within the department and with other actors. The work alternates between strategic and operational.

Your Background

We want you to have relevant education for the area or equivalent qualifications that we assess as comparable and that you have worked for at least two years with security issues. You should also have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English. The university is represented in several locations in Sweden, so travel in the service occurs and a B driver's license is required.

Meritorious:

• Knowledge of physical protection and preferably basic regulations, e.g., SSF200.
• Experience working in security systems, e.g., Integra and Serix, with a focus on development and optimization.
• Basic knowledge of security protection legislation as well as the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act.
• Experience with SBA, systematic fire protection work.
• Experience working with risk management, risk and vulnerability analysis, and continuity planning.
• Experience working in crisis organizations.
• Experience working in another government agency.

You can collaborate with many different competencies throughout the organization and have a structured working method. Furthermore, you are receptive, action-oriented, solution- and result-oriented with an unpretentious and service-oriented attitude. You are used to working in a team as well as independently. You have the ability to handle reprioritizations and can independently plan, execute, and complete your work.

The position belongs to the university's security unit and you report to the security manager. Placement is at SLU in Uppsala.

The position is classified in a security class, which is why a security clearance will be conducted before employment according to security protection legislation.

About Us

The Department of Infrastructure, Infra, is part of the central operational support at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. Infra's task is to provide tailored and well-functioning service services both locally at our main locations Umeå, Uppsala, and Alnarp where we are represented, but also to contribute to service development for the entire SLU. Overall, the department handles, in addition to security, premises and property projects, service, and environmental management. We and our employees are expected to actively contribute to the university's development through engagement and initiative. Infra has about 120 employees and an annual turnover of around 110 million SEK.
