We work for everyone living here today and in the future. We are now looking for you who want to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.
The City Planning Office is planning for a future Stockholm on behalf of the City Planning Committee. We work with urban planning both at a general and detailed level, building permits, city measurements, property formation, and housing adjustments. The City Planning Office has about 340 employees and we are centrally located in Kungsholmen, about a ten-minute walk from Stockholm Central Station. The administration's activities are permeated by the core values of professionalism, solution-oriented approach, holistic view, and joy at work.
Welcome to us
The Land Surveying Authority, which is part of the City Planning Office, is responsible for changes in property division within the City of Stockholm.
Currently, 13 people and a unit manager work at the Land Surveying Authority. The main tasks of the authority are property formation and property registration, as well as advice, service, and assignments within the property area. We conduct land surveying proceedings in a dense urban environment and participate as legal support in detailed planning. We are part of the City Measurement Department, which is responsible for all mapping and measurement-related assignments at the City Planning Office. We are located in the Technical Committee House in Kungsholmen, about a ten-minute walk from Stockholm Central Station.
Your role
You will participate in the daily work and thereby gain a varied and broad insight into the profession of land surveyor, where you will try out tasks related to property formation at the Land Surveying Authority. You will have an independent task such as handling your own land surveying proceedings and accompanying our surveyors in their daily tasks. We believe you will gain a broad understanding of what it means to work as a land surveyor in Stockholm. The position gives you the opportunity to work with Stockholm and gain insight into the incredibly exciting urban development projects that are ongoing here, such as Slussen, Hagastaden, Slakthusområdet, and the expansion of the new subway.
Your skills and experience
- Ongoing higher education/university studies in land surveying/urban planning with a legal focus, e.g., at KTH, LTH, Högskolan Väst, Högskolan i Gävle, Uppsala University.
- Planned graduation approximately one (1) year from the start of employment.
- You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as it is required in daily work.
We place great importance on the following competencies in this recruitment: You have a good ability to plan and act based on set goals in your work. You organize and prioritize your work effectively and are careful to maintain a high quality in your work. You enjoy working in a team and have a receptive attitude. You communicate in a clear and pedagogical manner and ensure that the message gets through.
Other
The length of the employment period and exact dates will be determined in dialogue with the recruiting manager.
In this recruitment, the personal letter is not mandatory. We use selection questions in the application process to make a fair and equitable assessment of you as a candidate.
