Engineers for Trainee Program in Sustainable Maintenance Solutions

We are now looking for several engineers for a trainee program in sustainable maintenance solutions for defense material. About the Position

As a trainee in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), you will be part of a group of talents participating in a year-long program focused on coaching, mentorship, training, and study visits. The study visits will be conducted together with other trainees in different parts of the country to gain a better understanding of FMV's and the defense sector's operations.

A part of the program involves working in various projects related to integrated logistics support. Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) is a process primarily used in the defense sector. In short, it takes maintenance and operation into account throughout the entire lifecycle of a material system. The aim is to create systems that last long and are easy to maintain when needed, which also reduces costs over the entire lifecycle. You will work alongside project managers and other colleagues in the effort to ensure that deliveries to the Armed Forces are made on time and to the right quality. This may look a bit different depending on which of our operational areas you work in, but examples of tasks include participating in discussions about technical solutions and working with technical orders. Another example is participating in the work with maintenance plans, material care schedules, instruction books, or reliability, maintenance, and cost analyses. All of this is important parts of designing a maintenance and support system for a technical system.

In addition to participating in projects, you will attend training sessions to deepen your knowledge of ILS. You will be assigned a mentor who will coach you and help increase your knowledge of ILS and project work.

About You

We are looking for someone who has, or will have by summer, a relevant bachelor's or master's degree in engineering. Alternatively, you may have equivalent skills acquired in another way that we consider comparable. The position requires that you have good knowledge of both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you have experience or knowledge in one or more of the 14 ILS elements (detailed description can be found at: What does an ILS Engineer do? (https://www.fmv.se)). We also see it as a benefit if you have knowledge of lifecycle management of technical systems or experience in the defense sector.

Personal qualities are very important to us. We welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds and experiences and are looking for someone who is structured with a good ability to organize, plan, and prioritize your work. Furthermore, you have good judgment and analytical skills. This means you are good at weighing complex information and different considerations and show judgment in statements, actions, and decisions. It is also important that you are easy to collaborate with. You are attentive with good communication skills and can resolve challenging situations in a constructive manner.
