We are now looking for an experienced data engineer who wants to help develop and modernize our data and analytics platform. The role is suitable for you who thrive in the intersection of architecture, data modeling, and business logic, and who wants to contribute to a long-term and sustainable data solution.
About the role
As a data engineer with us, you will work on further developing and restructuring our data warehouse, modeling data together with other data engineers and data analysts, and being involved in our journey towards a modern data and analytics platform. You will play an important role in ensuring data quality, traceability, and correct business logic in our solutions. The role is suitable for you who are an experienced data engineer and are used to working with complex data landscapes, making architectural trade-offs, and taking technical responsibility in environments with many dependencies.
Responsibilities and tasks
· Develop and improve data warehouse and analytics architecture
· Model data for analysis and reporting
· Develop and maintain data pipelines and transformations
· Work on further development, troubleshooting, and ongoing management of the existing data warehouse in close collaboration with other data engineers and external parties.
· Ensure high data quality and clear documentation
· Collaborate with data analysts, other data engineers, and external suppliers
· Participate in planning and execution of platform migrations (e.g., Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, or AWS + Snowflake)
Who are you?
To succeed and thrive in the role, you need to have the following:
· Master's degree in data/information technology or equivalent relevant higher education
· Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
· Very good knowledge of SQL for advanced data modeling and transformation
· Good knowledge of Python for data engineering and automation
· Several years of experience with data warehouses, data modeling (including facts and dimension tables) and analytics architecture as well as design, implementation, and maintenance of high-performance data pipelines with a focus on scalability, efficiency, and stability
· Experience designing architecture with a clear separation between raw data, business logic, and consumption layers
· Experience with ELT/ETL, incremental loads, and working with large datasets
· Practical experience with at least one modern data and analytics platform
(Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, AWS + Snowflake)
· Experience with version control and CI/CD workflows
· Experience with data quality, traceability, and documentation
· Experience in AI/ML (Preferred)

More about the position and application
The position is a permanent full-time employment with a 6-month probationary period.
The position may be classified in a security class, which is why Swedish citizenship is required.
