Your Role

You will become a key player in developing data platforms that drive future defense technology. This includes real-time analysis and data processing for everything from Gripen and advanced sensor systems to autonomous underwater systems and modern command platforms. You will work with large datasets in complex and security-critical environments, where demands for availability, robustness, and performance are high.

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate closely with data engineers, AI engineers, and platform teams
  • Contribute to architecture, standards, and technical practices
  • Act as a mentor and share knowledge within the team

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have extensive experience in data engineering in production environments and who take ownership of solutions from design to operation. You are technically secure, have a strong system perspective, and are comfortable making decisions that affect the entire data platform. You thrive in a role where you combine operational work with strategic influence and want to help shape how data is used in a technically ambitious organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • Several years of experience in data engineering in production
  • Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and/or Scala
  • Experience with cloud and modern data infrastructure
  • Experience with ETL and ELT, data pipelines, and data modeling
  • Experience with Linux-based environments
  • Good communication skills in Swedish and English

Merits:

  • Cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Modern data architectures focusing on scalability, quality, and automation
  • Data pipelines, orchestration, and data modeling
  • Principles such as data mesh and data products and how they create business value
  • Infrastructure as code and CI/CD for data solutions

For positions where Saab requires security clearance, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.

Location: Stockholm or Gothenburg
