As the industry electrifies at record speed, the process systems around Zander & Ingeström's products are becoming increasingly important – and more complex. Each boiler is a complete technical ecosystem of pipes, valves, flows, pumps, pressures, temperatures, and control that must function exactly as it should in demanding industrial environments worldwide. Zander & Ingeström is growing rapidly and entering a phase where process design needs to be standardized, refined, and scaled up. Therefore, this is the right time to step in if you want to work with advanced process systems – from the first P&ID to final sizing.
ABOUT THE POSITION:As a System Engineer / Process Engineer, you will work with the entire process system behind Zander & Ingeström's industrial electric boilers. You will size and define the entire process circuit around the electric boilers, where pressure and temperature changes occur in large volumes and must be managed with absolute precision.
You will enter a phase where the team is expanding, work methods are sharpened, and standards are being built – and you will have a significant influence on how the process design will develop moving forward.
In this role, you will:
- Work with the entire process system – from early flow diagram to final P&ID.
- Size and specify all components in the system. Pipes, valves, pumps, instrumentation, and ancillary equipment – you will provide correct values and relationships.
- Ensure functionality and operational reliability through technical calculations. Flows, pressure drops, temperatures, heat transfer, and hydraulics are your playing field.
- Develop and own P&ID for each project, from quotation to delivery.
- Size piping systems, pumps, valves, and other process engineering components.
- Perform flow and pressure drop calculations and ensure correct sizing data.
- Develop BOM lists and specify which components should be included.
- Participate in customer dialogues, requirements reviews, and technical alignments.
- Collaborate with design, electrical/automation, production, and global suppliers.
- If necessary, visit facilities – both in Sweden and internationally – to verify and understand the systems in operation.
- Has experience in sizing process systems – preferably with hot water, steam, or similar industrial flows.
- Has drawn or worked with P&ID and understands how these diagrams control the entire system.
- Has real process engineering understanding: flows, pressures, temperatures, pumps, and valves.
- Has good knowledge of Swedish and English.
You are likely an engineer who has built, analyzed, and improved process systems for several years and now wants to take the step to a more product-oriented role where your technical judgment has a significant influence.
It is also highly meritorious if you have experience from energy companies, heating plants, paper/pulp industry, marine operations, or consulting companies within process engineering.
