About the Position

Svenska kraftnät is now looking for someone who wants to work with current distribution analyses in double busbar substations to determine whether higher transmission can be allowed on individual lines. You will belong to the Operational Analysis Unit 1, which consists of 10 people. The unit's overall responsibility is to calculate and monitor transmission capacities in the control room at Svenska kraftnät.

The position is based at our office in Sundbyberg.

Your Responsibilities

In the role of operations analyst focusing on current distribution analyses, you will primarily be responsible for calculating how currents are distributed in double busbar substations. You will use the load calculation tool PSS/E and analyze current distribution at several substations from northern to southern Sweden. The position will include:

• Mapping and identifying prioritized substations where current distribution analyses are needed.
• Conducting current distribution analyses in PSS/E.

You will have the opportunity to develop your understanding of power systems and gain hands-on experience with common calculation tools. You will receive an introduction to the national power system and have the chance to exchange experiences with colleagues who have worked in the industry for a long time.

Your Background

You should be studying a degree in electrical power engineering or energy systems. Other requirements:

• You have experience in performing load distribution analyses in some calculation tool, e.g., in PSS/E.
• You have a basic understanding of substations and equipment in the transmission network.
• You speak and understand Swedish and English in both speech and writing.

We would like you to have a basic understanding of power systems and an interest in the functioning of the electricity market.

Your Personal Qualities

You find it easy to work independently based on given instructions. You are cooperative and can easily work in different constellations.
