The Property Department is part of the Community Building Office and has the overall responsibility for the municipality's premises and property stock.

The department's mission is to ensure that the municipality's operations have access to functional, purpose-built, and sustainable premises that support needs and development in the long term.

The management and development of the municipality's premises are carried out from a holistic perspective where economy, technology, and sustainability are weighed together. The work includes both strategic planning and daily management and is done in close collaboration with the municipality's various operations.

The Property Department consists of about 20 employees organized into two units: the Management Unit and Office Services.

The Management Unit is responsible for the management and operation of the municipality's own and rented premises. The assignment includes, among other things, contract management, planned maintenance, and premises development. The unit also provides support in various property-related matters such as projects, inspections, and fire protection and manages rental meetings and rent setting. Within the management unit, there are functions such as property managers, technical property managers, and property technicians.

Office Services is responsible for ensuring an efficient and well-functioning workplace within the municipality's office premises. The work includes space planning, fire safety, and coordination of the municipal council's premises. The unit is also responsible for administrative and practical functions such as mail, telephony, subscriptions, and office supplies, etc.

Within office services, there are positions such as administrators and coordinators.

We are now looking for a driven property manager for the management unit who wants to help develop our property stock into a safe, sustainable, and well-functioning resource for the municipality's residents and operations.

About the role

As a property manager with us, you will be responsible for managing parts of the municipality's property stock, with a particular focus on schools and preschools. You play an important role in ensuring functional and sustainable premises for educational activities.

In this role, you will work closely with the operations as well as several other functions within the municipality, such as the education office, technical operations department, local strategist, local coordinator, and principals.

The tasks include, among other things:

• Managing the administration of school and preschool properties
• Having results, budget, and customer responsibility for your assigned properties
• Managing lease agreements
• Collaborating with the technical manager to develop maintenance, development, and investment plans
• Working closely with technical managers, the operations organization, and other colleagues
• Maintaining close dialogue with the operations to ensure suitable premises

The work involves a strong focus on service, collaboration, and long-term property management.

We are looking for someone who

Has education in property management, property economics, or another relevant education that the employer deems equivalent.

You have experience in property management and a good understanding of property law and property economics. It is advantageous if you have previously worked with the management of schools or preschools, or within other public operations.

We would like to see that you have experience working closely with operations and are used to creating good relationships with tenants and partners.

• Confident in the role of ordering from contractors

You express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written. A B driver's license is a requirement.
